WHAT WE DO
Our academy model give students the opportunity to get active with tennis play and ignite creativity and learning through mentorship and guided learning throughout the year.
STEF's program focuses on the essential skills needed to enjoy tennis, including fitness, strokes, scoring and strategy, with an emphasis on fun and play. In addition, our role-model mentors from the community engage STEF students in themed learning units such as acting, creative writing, robotics, music, dance and more.
Our goal is to improve outcomes at school and solidify learning through key concept lessons, field trips, life skills exercises and on-court activities. These fun and interactive activities are designed to get kids active, instill key skills and to provide a well-rounded learning environment throughout the year.
Our 2019/2020 Academy for grades 3-5 is enrolling now, serving the Magnuson Park neighborhood.
Our 2019/2020 program begins October 30 at Mercy Magnuson Place, three days each week. The STEF Academy is FREE for our student-athletes and requires a school-year commitment. Space is very limited.
Student-athletes learn and play tennis -- a sport for a lifetime of fitness and fun.
